An innovative corporate fundraising challenge has raised an amazing £232,469 since 2012, with £29k added to the pot.
Now in its sixth year, the St Helena Hospice Birkett Long £50 Challenge concluded last week with an awards evening at Birkett Long’s new office at Amphora Place in Colchester.
Together, the 28 teams involved in the concept have raised an exceptional figure of £29,082.
Each company had been tasked to create creative schemes or events as a means of raising as much money as possible form an initial £50 – kindly donated by legal firm Birkett Long.
The top five winners announced at the event were:

Innovation – Fenwick’s Lower Ground Floor team
Teamwork – Cloud9 Business Coaching Ltd
Leading Fundraiser – Informa Group PLC
Promoting St Helena Hospice – Codair Design and Publicity Ltd
Jennie Skingsley, Associate and Marketing Manager for Birkett Long, said: “The £50 Challenge is an incredible event and Birkett Long has been delighted to support it for the last 6 years.
