A regional disability charity and an Ipswich-based boutique micro spa have teamed up to hold a joint birthday party.
The InvigR8 spa, in Foxhall Road, will celebrate its fourth birthday on Wednesday 13 September – the same day Papworth Trust holds special events across the East of England to mark its 100th anniversary.
Kay Klein, owner of InvigR8, said a joint celebration seemed the perfect way to mark the occasion with the business planning an afternoon of events including a raffle, birthday cake and refreshments between 2pm and 6pm on Wednesday.
Kay said: “I have always been interested in wellbeing and helping people be the best version of themselves. This fits in well with Papworth Trust’s ethos.
“It has been a great four years and we invite customers and local people to join us in marking the occasion and supporting a great local charity.”
Papworth Trust, which was initially started in 1917 as a tuberculosis colony, is organising a ‘Virtual Birthday Party’ on Wednesday.
Businesses have been asked to show their support by hosting a cake-themed event and sharing photos on social media using the #PapworthTrust100 hashtag.
