A community project which helps provide much needed shelter and security, has received a significant pre-Christmas boost.
The Bus Shelter Ipswich was set up to meet the needs of those otherwise forced to sleep rough in the town.
This week, it’s celebrating the news that a recent team event, staged by Ensors accountancy firm, has led to a £2,900 donation for the cause.
The corporate Beer Challenge was staged on 7 December, and involved Ensors going head to head with Greene & Greene and other professional firms.
The final charitable fundraising sum has now been counted, with the participating companies delighted to be able to support such a worthy cause.
Managing Partner David Scrivener said “The Ensors Beer Challenge allows us to network with fellow professionals, and fully embrace the Christmas spirit, whilst raising money for a worthy cause.
“The recipient of this year’s fund is The Bus Shelter Ipswich, who were chosen by last year’s winners Birketts.
“I am pleased to announce that we have raised £2900, so thank you to all the teams that took part.”
