Golf fanatics and eager networkers around the region are being sought by the fundraising team of one East Anglian charity.
Age UK Suffolk is hard at work on its events programme to coincide with its 70th birthday celebrations.
As part of that planning, it has this week appealed to companies and individuals to sign up for one of its forthcoming Golf Days in the county.
The organisation has been behind a number of successful charity golf days in the past, and now hosts two such events annually.
First of these highly popular occasions is at Ufford Park on Thursday 26th April, with the day being sponsored by Basepoint Ipswich.
Later in the summer, the charity will then deliver a second golf day at Thorpeness Golf Club, on Wednesday 25th July.
One firm which reaped plenty of benefit from last year’s events, was Clayden Financial.
Leigh Clayden, from the firm, said: “My colleagues, guests and I really enjoy the Golf Days.
“It is important to support such as a worthwhile charity, and these events, with their friendly rivalry, offer great business networking opportunities.
“We appreciate all the hard work Jo and her team put in to give us all great fun days and I am proud that Clayden Financial provided the winner’s trophy for the summer event.”
Guests will enjoy bacon baps and liquid refreshments before taking to the course and participating in a number of additional fundraising elements throughout the day.
The day concludes with drinks, dinner, a charity raffle and auction, and the all-important prize giving which no doubt creates some healthy speculation and banter as the day progresses..
