One legal team from Bury St Edmunds have spun and beaten their way to raise almost £800 for the Papworth Trust.
SEN Legal donned their lycra to take part in the charity’s 100th anniversary cycle challenge and their pinnies to sell cakes, maximising their fundraising effort.
The company signed up to Papworth Trust’s ‘big birthday’ this year by becoming members of the charity’s Corporate Centenary Club. The 100 Care Miles Challenge is open to teams of up to 10 people cycling the distance from the comfort of their own office – via Papworth Trust’s customised static bike.
Their support, across both the bike challenge and the cake sale, raised more than £780.
Hayley Mason, Solicitor at SEN Legal, said: “We were more than happy to get involved to try to raise as much money as possible for Papworth Trust and the excellent work they do for disabled people.
“It is a cause very close to all of our hearts and would not have been possible without the support from our colleagues, families, suppliers and neighbouring businesses, so thank you to everyone who got involved.”
Jo Revitt, Corporate Partnership Fundraiser, said: “Papworth Trust’s 100th anniversary has been brilliantly supported by our local community – and SEN Legal is a wonderful example of that.
“We would like to thank the whole company for joining in with our big birthday celebrations.”
