A determined fundraiser has set himself a series of challenges throughout the Spring, all aimed at raised money for a good cause.
Brown & Co Barfords Commercial Negotiator, James Price, is set to take part in five events, with all money from the effort going to Children With Cancer UK.
James has worked for Brown & Co Barfords for five years and was inspired to set himself these challenges after creating a healthier lifestyle for himself.
Just over two years ago, James was six stone heavier and could not run more than half a mile. He now wants to use his new healthier life to help make a difference to a worthwhile cause.
On Sunday 8th April, James will take part in Wolf Run in Warwickshire– a six mile obstacle and mud race, followed by his first marathon in London on Sunday 22nd April.
From 28th – 29th April, James will undertake the widely known Three Peaks Challenge; conquering Ben Nevis, Skafell Pike and Snowdon in a single 24 hour period.
Saturday 12th May will see James participate in the 20 mile/200 obstacle Rat Race run in Burghley, with his set of five challenges then completed at Tough Mudder in Grantham on Saturday 19th May – a ten mile obstacle mud race.
He said: “I’m driven to do my very best at each upcoming event to support Children With Cancer UK and every penny raised will give me more of an incentive to complete my challenges to help this worthy charity.”
