Referee Scores a Fundraising Triumph for EACH

Former Premier League referee Martin Bodenham has helped boost the funds of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.

An evening presentation by Martin, staged at Marks Tey Hotel, led to an income of £5,675.

The audience heard how a colourful period of sporting life, involving three FA Cup semi finals, a League Cup Final, saw Martin mixing with many well known footballing and cricket superstars.

Attended by around 100 guests, the event was organised by EACH supporters Dave Duffett and Andy French.

Natasha Brame, EACH Suffolk Community Fundraiser, said: “This amazing event has raised more than enough to fund 24 hours of care across Suffolk & East Essex. We’re so grateful to Dave, Andy and the hotel for their hard work.”

EACH cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions, and supports their families, providing a lifeline during unimaginably difficult times. The good cause has to raise almost £6 million a year to provide its vital service.
