The President’s Sporting Club and Essex Disabled Sports Foundation charity lunch takes place on 7th December at The Ipswich Hotel in Copdock with celebrity guest Frank Bruno. East Anglian building merchant Ridgeons has announced it will be the main sponsor for the event.
Since 1987 the charity has raised more than £2.5 million to buy sporting facilities and opportunities for children with special needs throughout East Anglia and the Home counties.
Frank Bruno, who has been President of the charity for some 25 years, will host the lunch and then take part in a 30-minute Q&A session with guests.
Mike Jackson MBE, Founder and Chairman of President’s Sporting Club and Essex Disabled Sports Association, said: “The power of sport in helping to develop children with special needs is enormous. It increases their self-confidence and physical development and helps them to overcome challenges they meet in their daily lives.”
Ben Giddings, Director of Merchant Sales at Ridgeons, commented: “The President’s Sporting Club and Essex Disabled Sports Foundation has grown significantly over the past few years and now helps children with special needs from throughout East Anglia to fulfil their development potential through sport.
“We very much looking forward to bringing many of our customers along to learn more about the charity’s work and to meet Frank Bruno.”
Over 250 tickets for the charity lunch with Frank Bruno have already been sold and there are still some available to buy at a cost of £35 each. All enquiries about the event should be sent to The Ipswich Hotel. Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
