Employee’s Early Start Put to Good Use

An employee at a Suffolk company has put his early morning routine to good use by training for a fundraising bike ride.

Roger Cox from the Halesworth branch of Ridgeons has been cycling for an hour a day before work in preparation for the East Anglia Children’s Hospices (EACH) Ride for Life. On the big day Roger pedalled more than 75 miles and raised £800.

“I’m delighted I finished the cycle in good time, and I’m thrilled with the amount raised for EACH,” he said.

“It is a very important charity in East Anglia – it’s great that so many people were generous enough to sponsor my challenge. The cycle was tough at times but I enjoyed every second of it!”

Gus Chichon, Branch Manager of the Halesworth store, added: “The Ridgeons team here at Halesworth is proud of Roger for having completed Ride for Life.

“He should also be very pleased with himself for raising such an impressive amount of money for EACH – a wonderful cause and Ridgeons’ current charity partner.”
