Suffolk-born Charity Granted Official Status

Futurestars, a charity originated in Suffolk to support youngsters in Ghana and Togo, has received its official UK charitable status this week.

The organisation is being directed by former ITFC personality, Simon Milton, and includes the likes of Terry Butcher and Titus Bramble as trustees.

Operating since 2015, the project is helping five schools, and a total of around 2,500 children.

“I am obviously delighted that we have been accepted by the UK Charity Commission and have received our all-important Charity number and status,” said Simon.

“This follows six months of hard work with our Futurestars Trustees and Liz Brownsell from Birketts Solicitors.”

He added: “The Futurestars Charity Project is actively looking for new partners to join us in our journey, and we’re excited by the potential of this terrific concept.”

More information on the charity and how you can get involved is listed on the website www.futurestarscharity.org.uk
